I am Ella Louvelle Brasileño, a 23 years old student of Central Philippine University, Iloilo City, Philippines and I am currently in my 4th year, taking up Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. This blog is about my teaching and learning experience as a delegate of the SEA Teacher Program Batch 9. "Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow"
I remember the exact moment the SEA-Student Teacher Exchange Program was first mentioned during our last days as a 3rd year student in college. I was thrilled to know that this opportunity has been offered to us and instantly thought that I want to be one of the delegates to represent our university. When I got home and thought more about it, I became hesitant since I need to consider a lot of things. I asked myself, "Am I ready for this?", "Am I independent enough to embark on this life-changing journey, alone?", but then, another part of my mind just suddenly went, "Of course I can! I will get to experience a lot and this is a huge stepping stone for me. I should be ready to take risks because if not now, when will I be ready? This is a one-time opportunity after all!" Then, I just went straight to my family and told them about it. Albeit worried, they have been very supportive of the decision that I made for myself and became my strength throughout this journey.
