Arrival in Ho Chi Minh, City
We spent our first night in Ho Chi Minh City, because the receiving institution is scheduled to pick us up the next day at August 21, 2023. Did I ever mention that what I love most in Vietnam after the people would be the food?! If no, then this page would be proof of it. I loved every food that I bought!
We were received with a warm welcome in Dong Thap University by the faculty and student buddies. They recommended that we try their famous sandwich, Banh Mi! I loved it! Our dorm was clean and well-ventilated and I appreciate our student buddies for touring us around different Milktea and Coffee shops during our first night
In my first weekdays of stay in Dong Thap Province, Vietnam, I was able to eat different kinds of food, visit mausoleums, toured around Dong Thap University, and got to meet a lot of new friends! I remember being worried about food because I am quite the picky eater, but was surprised since almost everything tastes similar with Filipino food, especially the chicken curry.

On August 25th, we had our first cultural exchange. It was an enjoyable moment as we get to see a lot of performances from countries around Asia, such as; the Philippines, Laos, Indonesia, Vietnam, and South Korea.
